![]() ![]() UI improvements: Copying from BPM, placing the total number of pops supporting which IG in the Government Reform page next to the CLout, so we get a much better idea of how popular each group is ignoring voting methods.Ĭlick to expand.I just want to reiterate that I completely fail to see why, when the IG system doesn't fundamentally produce a very good political model, it seems to be a much preferred alternative to gild that system with more leaders and ideological subfactions, rather than to junk it and let those ideological subfactions have the independent agency they do in (say) BPM.I really do think this is an excellent way of modelling how IGs react through time as u pass reforms and change your country rapidly theough the timeline. As an example, BPM over time splits the Intelligensia into Market Liberal/National Liberals/Radical Liberals as u progress through time, as well as models the evolutions of the Conservatives from a purely Reactionary force to Paternalistic Conservatives etc. Model the slow evolution of Interest Groups throughout the age.Without having a complete overhaul of the Politics mechanic, more IGs will help bridge the gap until a more comprehensive system can be done. As above, currently because there are so few groups, the ideology of IGs can suddenly turn on a whim of a leader change, which is unrealistic to say the least and relies too much on RNG & Great Man theory (the entire Intelligensia population suddenly supporting multiculturalism and Anarchy because Proudhon is leader?). It doesn’t model history at all, and BPM models it so well by the Internationals through Journal Entries. Currently it’s really odd that Trade Unionists can switch simply from Anarchists, Vanguardists and Communists without any pushback or splinters within the group. Break apart the Trade Unionists following the Internationals. This would really help to increase flavour and give us a clearer idea who’s running the government. Prime Ministers in the Government Screen: The Leader of the Biggest IG in the political party becomes the PM in Monarchies with voting laws, similar to RRK.Without changing the fundamental mechanics of Vic 3, here are some reforms I think Vic 3 can take from these mods and increase depth without sacrificing its mechanics and core gameplay too much. I have found that these mods have massively increased my enjoyment of managing my country other than spamming construction sectors. Recently, I have been playing with the Better Politics Mod & Rally Round the King mods. ![]()
